The BionicMotionRobot 2017 (BMR-4er) from the company Festo SE & Co. KG is a pneumatic lightweight robot with natural forms of movement. The BMR is inspired in its movements by the elephant's trunk and by the tentacles of the octopus. The pneumatic lightweight robot has twelve degrees of freedom and can carry about three kilograms payload about its own weight (Brochure, Video).

The BionicMotionRobot 2019 (BMB-2er) is a further development of the BMR-4er, which is only equipped with a pair of 2 bellows per segment (photo in the slideshow above). This concept then formed the basis for the later BionicSoftArm von Festo.
